The Jordan Dozen: 12 Vulnerable House Republicans Greenlight MAGA Extremist Jim Jordan as Speaker
Washington, D.C. – Following the vote by a majority of Complicit Caucus members – 12 of the 18 House Republicans from swing districts Biden carried in 2020 – endorsing Representative Jim Jordan as speaker of the House, MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting released the following statement:
“These swing district House Republicans are lining up behind a lawmaker who voted with the insurrectionists on January 6, ignored sexual assault allegations, cooked up a bogus impeachment scam, supports a national abortion ban, and hasn’t passed a single bill in 16 years in Congress. Twelve of the so-called moderate Republicans chose to cave to the most extreme radicals in their party instead of listening to their constituents. MoveOn will make sure that voters know the type of radical, extremist MAGA agenda their representatives endorsed for speaker of the House.”
The following 12 Complicit Caucus members voted for MAGA extremist Rep. Jim Jordan to become the next House speaker:
- CA-22: David Valadao
- CA-27: Mike Garcia
- CA-13: John Duarte
- NY-03: George Santos
- NY-22: Brandon Williams
- CA-45: Michelle Steele
- NY-19: Mark Molinaro
- PA-01: Brian Fitzpatrick
- NJ-07: Tom Kean
