NEW: No Answers from No Labels on Donors, Abortion & its Path to 270
MoveOn issues top questions for No Labels on path to 270, dark money donors, and stance on abortion rights
Washington, D.C. – Following NPR’s “Open to Debate” with MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting and No Labels’ Chief Strategist Ryan Clancy, MoveOn released a memo outlining the reasonable questions No Labels refuses to answer about its reckless campaign.
“Voters deserve to know who No Labels’ donors are, what the group’s clear stance on abortion is, and how on earth it will secure 270 electoral college votes one needs to win a Presidential election,” said MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting. “No Labels’ only path forward leads to twice-impeached former President Trump in the White House. If they truly want to defeat extremism, No Labels should practice what they preach and put an end to this irresponsible and dangerous bid.”
During the debate, Clancy rebuffed a slew of reasonable questions about the party’s dark money donors, their stance on abortion, and their lack of a path to 270 electoral votes. The memo outlines the following questions for the group:
- What exactly is No Labels’ path to earning 270 electoral votes?
- Why won’t No Labels follow the rules of every major political party and disclose their donors?
- Will No Labels nominate a candidate that supports a national abortion ban?
