NEWS: Explosive Reporting on Cornel West’s Corrupt, MAGA-Aided Ballot Access to Help Trump

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today MoveOn Political Action condemns Cornel West’s corrupt ballot access program and collusion with Trump allies to undermine voters and Vice President Harris in key swing states. The Associated Press released a damning story showing that West’s team had fraudulently included the names of unknowing people on its Arizona slate of electors. When contacted, West elector Denisha Mitchell claimed she never agreed to be a West elector, and she didn’t even know what that was – proving a deep level of coordination between the West campaign and Trump’s…

MoveOn Statement on Arizona Senate Democrats Voting to Protect Abortion Access

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to Arizona Senate Democrats voting to repeal a 160-year-old, near-total abortion ban, MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting issued the following statement: “This isn’t complicated: Democrats will protect abortion access and Republicans will take away our bodily autonomy at every opportunity they have. Since last year, support for abortion rights has grown, even and especially in red states, which puts the Complicit Caucus’s collective stance on abortion even further out of step with a vast majority of Americans.  Despite running as moderates, the entire Complicit Caucus positions itself among the extreme right on abortion. These members of Congress, who vote lockstep with Republican leadership, represent constituents…

IRS walks away from facial recognition to access online tools after backlash

The IRS will transition away from using facial recognition technology to help taxpayers create online accounts with the agency. The IRS announced Monday that it will “quickly develop and bring online an additional authentication process that does not involve facial recognition,” in order for taxpayers to access self-help services on the agency’s website. “The IRS will also continue to work with its cross-government partners to develop authentication methods that protect taxpayer data and ensure broad access to online tools,” the agency said in a statement. The IRS changed course after…
