Nine immigrants jailed at a private facility in southern California say in a civil rights complaint that they’ve suffered from difficulty breathing, headaches, and gastrointestinal pain due to hazardous air, dust, mold, and drinking water contamination at the Imperial Regional Detention Facility. “We are breathing in sewage and manure fumes constantly due to the nonfunctional air ventilation system,” Ramon Dominguez Gonzalez said in a release.
