Voters in Kamala Harris’ Hometown Smack Down Initiative to Tax Natural Gas Use

DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—Voters in Berkeley, California, soundly rejected a proposal that would have required owners of certain larger buildings to pay a fee in order to use natural gas. Measure GG would have required owners of multifamily or commercial buildings larger than 15,000 square feet to pay up in order to use natural gas. It failed with 68.25% of voters moving to reject the measure, according to Alameda County election data. Environmentalists and labor unions advocated for “Measure GG” on the grounds that reducing emissions from buildings is imperative to fight climate…

Here’s Why More Catholics May Vote for Trump

Kamala Harris and company are all in with radical, anti-life policies that could unsettle swing voters who might describe themselves as “moderately pro-choice” but hardly pro-abortion. The amorphous terminology built around the concept of personal autonomy has different meanings to different ears. In conversations with family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors who are saturated with media reports designed to obscure the brutality of the abortion industry, practicing Catholics are at a perpetual disadvantage. The upshot is that when questions involving God-given innocent, human life are phrased with precision and sufficient…

‘It Is Freedom Over Communism,’ Trump Supporter Says at NC Rally

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C.—“We’re running a campaign of solutions to save America, an America which they have virtually destroyed,” former President Donald Trump said of the Biden-Harris administration at a Wednesday afternoon rally here. Now it’s about hiding the science—at least when it comes to experimental gender transition medical procedures for children. “U.S. Study on Puberty Blockers Goes Unpublished Because of Politics, Doctor Says,” blares a New York Times headline earlier this week. This study, which involved putting 95 children struggling with gender dysphoria on puberty blockers, was led by Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy, a physician at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles who has long been involved in promoting experimental medical treatments for minors. It would seem that the study, which followed the children…

November Could Determine Future of Ranked Choice Voting in US Elections

Arizona and Nevada not only are major battlegrounds in the presidential race, but voters there also will decide Nov. 5 whether the two states will adopt some incarnation of the process known as ranked choice voting. Six western states and the District of Columbia will vote on some form of ranked choice voting or “jungle primary” that includes ranking the final candidates, according to Ranked Vote and Unite America, which advocate the alternate election process.  Another state will consider ditching the ranked choice system. In most states, supporters and opponents…
