MoveOn Statement on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Failing to Qualify for First Presidential Debate

Joel Payne: “Between RFK Jr. failing to make the debate stage and having his worst fundraising month of the year, it’s clear that Americans are catching on to his MAGA policies on abortion, climate, and immigration.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, MoveOn Political Action released the following statement in response to news that third-party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. failed to qualify for the first debate of the 2024 presidential election:

“Between RFK Jr. failing to make the debate stage and having his worst fundraising month of the year, it’s clear that Americans are catching on to his MAGA policies on abortion, climate, and immigration,” said MoveOn Political Action Chief Communications Officer Joel Payne. “It seems that the majority of voters—as well as the Republican operatives helping him—see what RFK Jr. cannot: that his only role is to be a spoiler and get Donald Trump reelected.”
