The Best Hope for Electric Cars Could Be the GOP Districts Where They’re Made

Dozens of used electric-vehicle batteries were stacked like cordwood on pallets in a warehouse-style building about 30 miles east of Reno, Nevada, when I visited the site last week. The batteries were bound for an assembly line that would begin the chemical process of recycling up to 95 percent of the lithium, cobalt, and nickel they contain. Eventually, after treatment in two more buildings on the site, the metals will become a high-value, fine black powder called cathode active material that is shipped in vacuum-sealed containers to Toyota and Panasonic…

Joe Biden: The Ayatollahs’ Best Friend Forever

President Joe Biden showed leadership and courage this week by flying into an active war zone to personify solidarity with America’s embattled friends and allies in Israel. Too bad Biden’s appeasement of Iran made the trip necessary. Perhaps Biden went to Tel Aviv to atone for his years of financial assistance to the ayatollahs. Biden’s folly—believing that kindness would tame the mullahs—exploded in his face on Oct. 7: Iran’s Hamas puppets shocked Israel with the most brutal attack that it has endured since the Yom Kippur War, almost 50 years…

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s Stock Buyback Tax Shows ‘Government Knows Best’ Attitude Toward Investing

Congress “invested” in the American economy to the tune of $ 7 trillion over two and a half years. The result? Inflation is through the roof, the economy is stagnant at best, and more than 60% of Americans now report living paycheck to paycheck. Americans got a lousy return on that investment. Following Congress’ spectacular failure at directly investing Americans’ tax dollars (and dollars printed by the Federal Reserve), the Senate now wants to “help” Americans invest better with the so-called Inflation Reduction Act under debate in a Saturday session.…

It’s Time for Parents to Lead on Education Because They ‘Know Their Children Best’

When it comes to children’s education, parents know best, Laura Zorc says.  As the mother of four kids herself, Zorc has been fighting for education reform since 2013, when her home state of Florida began adopting Common Core education goals. She successfully rallied a group of parents to stand against the federally funded learning standards. Now, she is training parents across the nation to be advocates for their own children in the classroom. “Just because we send our kids to these government public schools, that does not mean the moment…
