MoveOn Members Protest at Fox’s Upfront and Rally to Stop Funding Fox

This week, Fox hosted its biggest pitch of the year to potential advertisers, hoping to woo massive ad buys to bankroll its lie-riddled programming. We all know that this event comes mere weeks after Fox News agreed to the largest lawsuit settlement in U.S. media history and fired Tucker Carlson. Together, we made sure that Fox’s potential advertisers don’t forget that that is the same brand they are being asked to fund. Here’s a quick snapshot of what advertisers saw on Monday: MoveOn members protested outside Fox’s New York City…

NPR Peddles Propaganda for the Regime. It’s Past Time to Pull its Funding.

Why should American taxpayers be on the hook to pay for a highly partisan and ideological media outlet? That’s an important discussion to be had after Twitter last week slapped a “state affiliated media” tag on National Public Radio’s Twitter profile. The move was met with much anger and frothing. “NPR and our member stations are supported by millions of listeners who depend on us for the independent, fact-based journalism we provide,” John Lansing, NPR’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “NPR stands for freedom of speech and holding…

Bill Would Block Taxpayer Funding of Teachers Unions

U.S. taxpayers’ money would not help finance teachers unions if the House passes a bill introduced this week by Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas.  “Corrupt teachers unions sold out our kids when they lined Democrat politicians’ pockets with campaign contributions to keep students out of the classroom, and later to force masking, despite clear evidence that these decisions were harmful to kids’ educational and developmental growth,” Jackson said in a prepared statement.   Teachers unions have “pushed a radical and inappropriate curriculum which seeks to indoctrinate our students with a woke,…

Medicare Savings Should Be Used for Improving Medicare, Not Funding Obamacare

Attention, seniors!   Here is a simple proposal: Every dime of potential budgetary savings in the Medicare program should first be plowed back into the Medicare program to help ensure its solvency or secondarily be earmarked for debt reduction. Under no circumstances should Medicare be milked as a cash cow for other government programs, whether bulking up Obamacare subsidies, funding “climate change” initiatives, promoting taxpayer funding of abortion, or whatever narrow ideological obsession happens to be captivating congressional “progressives” at the moment. Now get this. In their frenzied attempts to…

Republicans Think They Can Win the COVID Funding Fight

If a new coronavirus variant surges in the United States this year—perhaps the one currently tearing through Europe—there’s a reasonable chance that the country will be unprepared to fight it. You can thank Congress for that. Last week, lawmakers passed a massive spending bill without any additional funding for COVID-19 relief, despite White House pleas for more. Democrats would like to fulfill the administration’s request. But Republicans have taken the position that Congress has already done enough. “We don’t need COVID funding,” GOP Representative Randy Feenstra of Iowa told me.…
