ICYMI: No Labels Refuses to Release Donors During ‘Open to Debate NPR’

Washington, D.C. – Earlier today, No Label’s Chief Strategist Ryan Clancy rebuffed questions on “Open to Debate” from MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting and debate moderators about any specifics on the party’s donors. In response, Epting released the following statement:  “No Labels had yet another opportunity to be transparent about their donors and they refused. With so much at stake in this election, the American people deserve answers as to who is funding this reckless plan that will only lead to Donald Trump back in the White House.…

Over 100 Former Clarence Thomas Law Clerks Defend His ‘Unimpeachable’ Integrity in Open Letter

Over 100 former law clerks of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas have written an open letter defending him from accusations of ethics violations. In the letter, the clerks wrote that Thomas’ integrity is “unimpeachable” and that he’s never wavered from his independence on the court. The letter recounted Thomas’ life story of being descended from African slaves, raised by his grandfather in segregated Georgia, going to law school, then eventually making his way onto the Supreme Court. “It is a story that should be told in every American classroom, at every American kitchen table, in every…

Open Borders Creating Bidenvilles of Homelessness. Who Saw That Coming?

A year ago, I wrote about the obvious connection between illegal immigration and homelessness in U.S. cities. Since then, encounters with inadmissible aliens at the border have remained at more than 150,000 a month, often over 200,000. Of these, perhaps half are being released into the country, either under the charade of a “removal process” under U.S. immigration law or one of President Joe Biden’s many made-up parole-a-palooza programs. In July 2022, I predicted that some of the released illegal immigrants would “end up on the streets, compounding already dire…

OPM expects busy Open Season standing up USPS health insurance marketplace in 2024

OPM Director Kiran Ahuja told members of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee earlier this month that the agency is on track to create a standalone Postal Service Health Benefits Program. “It’s a huge effort, it’s…

Best listening experience is on Chrome, Firefox or Safari. Subscribe to Federal Drive’s daily audio interviews on Apple Podcasts or PodcastOne. Interview transcript: Tom Temin And you and the council and your member companies have several themes…

Why a ‘Democrat-Leaning Open Seat’ in California Is So Competitive

A California congressional district that had previously been labeled a “Democrat-leaning open seat” has become a “toss up,” according to some analysts as Election Day nears.  Republican candidate John Duarte and Democrat candidate Adam Gray are running to represent California’s 13th Congressional District in Tuesday’s general election.  Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., currently represents California’s 13th Congressional District after defeating Republican candidate Nikka Piterman in Nov. 2020 with 90.4% of the vote compared to Piterman’s 9.6%. Due to redistricting after the 2020 census, Lee is running for office in California’s 12th Congressional District, which is currently held by House…
